This is also from the Articles of 21 things of Japanese characteristic stuff;

Sayonara, sushi: 21 little things that people miss after leaving Japan | RocketNews24

It sounds funny that the forigners are amazed by that bathtubs automatically fill up to a certain level, stay at a constant temperature and talk to you in another room to let you know when they’re ready.

But it is true that many Japanese also loves these confortable functions, my wife said her one of the most impactful thing she really missed is about bathtubs.

I also agreed with her to the certain extent, but I can choose our own apartment without bathtubs.

I read a very funny and interesting article on the web;

And found that the phrase "Otukaresamadesu", which most Japanese workers should use in the daily life in natural way, is really interesting.

The meaning of phase is like you are tired, but Japanese just want to say, “Hey, guy, you worked hard today, buddy. I appreciate that, friend,” without feeling all weird and awkward about it.

Otsukaresama lets you do just that in a way that no English phrase really could.  on second thought, this is really funny and kind of weird.

This is about Golfing.

I do golfing once a three month on average, that's why I could not get improved so much.  I heard that the more we go to golf course and play, the more we can get improved.

Now my average score is around 120, but last time I played was terrible, I ended up with over 130.  And I have a plan to play golf next week, so I want to return a sense of golfing.

Then I need to keep going to golfing at least once a month so that I can improve my agevage score like 100-110, my target on this year is under 100.

I went to Bundung this weekend.

Bundung is a good place because there are some places nice to see, and there are some shopping mall.  Also It is a bit cooler than Jakarta because it is positined high altitudes.

I hang around the center part of the city like JL Asia Afrika where the museum is placed near by, and went into some fancy coffee shop.

But I could not go to see the tea plantation which we can see a lot at just out of town.

I saw nice photos of these view on the web, so surely go to these place next time.

What makes Japan so attractive?

Many foreigners visit to Japan every year from all over the world, I guess. Maybe there are some statistics.

I think this is because of the presence of polar opposites in one country. Everything hi-tech and cute casually coexists alongside a culture that has been around for centuries.

Japanese brands are well known for its technology and sophistication e.g. household appliance brands like Sony, Sharp, Panasonic and also Automotive brand like Toyota, Honda and Nissan.

Also if we go to Kyoyo which is the old charm of ancient capital, we can feel the atmosphere for centuries.

The other day, when I went to the Japanese Restaurant with my colleagues who are all non-Japanese people, I was asked about "Zenzai" and "Anmitsu" from them, but I could not explain in detail because I'm not sure about it even I am a Japanese...

So I googled it, and here is the answer;

Zenzai: Stewed sweet red beans and eat with Japanese mochi which is soft rice cake in Japan.

Anmitsu: It is a kind of Japanese sweet which putting Kanten Jelly, Fruits like orange and beans in the bowl and then to put the syrup on it.

Both are very popular Japanese sweet, so worth to try it :)

Today I would like to introduce Japanese "Sake".

Japanese Sake is made from grain rice. There are many kinds of Japanese sakes such as “Junmai-shu”, “Honjozou-shu”, and “Ginjou-shu.” They have different brewing processes.

There are many kinds of “Jizake” throughout Japan. "Jizake" is made from local locally grown rice grains and water from local sources. Their uniqueness varies from region to region.

“Hiya” means Japanese sake served at normal temperature.

“Atsukan” means Japanese sake warmed to around 50 celsius. Once Japanese sake becomes “Atsukan”, its aroma grows stronger.

I like Hiya, but occasionaly having Atsukan at cold winter season is awesone, it's beyond descriptoin.

I went back to Japan last week for a vacation, and went to Tohoku as short trip.

Our main objective is to take Shinkansen to go to Tohoku area because my little kid loves Shinkansen, he had watched a Shinkansen DVD everyday in Jakarta here.

Tohoku Shinkansen is a bullet train from Tokyo to Aomori, and this bullet train can get over 320km/h which is fastest all over the world at this moment.

Also I and my wife likes Shinkansen because we definitely are affected from my kid. Because my kid watched DVD everyday, my wife and I also could remember a lot of information of Shinkansen.

We enjoyed Shinkansen and Onsen hot spring in Japan, that makes me so refresh and fullfiled.
