The place I remember the most are the Old City of Dubrovnik and the Plitvice Lakes National Park.
the Old City of Dubrovnik is the place where the Hayao Miyazaki's animation "Porco Rosso" was located in, they have a lovely landscape to unfold these lovely story and descriptions of lovely coast community.
