Dentsu D3

Interestingly Dentsu collaborated with btrax team who are as known as the company holding SF Japan Night and should have strong network with Start-up company at North America.  I assume this collaboration between Dentsu and btrax can create the new idea and innovation.

I remember the "STRADA" trend of Programmatic.

Especially for the first "S", Sequential Storytelling, which means the consumer path after consuming the contents on their first touch point, the sequence of TV to Mobile display to social networks.  Then this guarantees audience engagement and reach.

The other means, "TV shncronization", "Real time triggers", "Audience Targeting", "Dynamic Creative Optimization" and "Audinece Insights".

It is so funny that he expressed that "To bring that Silicon Valley methodology and that three-month-old start-up feeling to a company that has been in Japan for 45 years, that’s the exciting part – and the challenging part."

By contraries, I only had an experince of working at Japanese company which has a certain history, so would be really exciting for me to work with the people like him.

Also his next challenge are interesting, "he is working on include in-store, self-order kiosks – which are already common in Japanese ramen shops and other restaurants – and augmenting McDonald’s offerings, such as a digital Happy Meal that links toys with digital games and experiences"  For the consumers who are digital native audiences, it should be more natural to get digital incentive instead of the physical toys.

The Top 5 Technologies Changing Customer Experience

https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/top-5-technologies-changing-customer-experience-matthew-bowman?trk=hp-feed-article-title-channel-add

here is an article which is mentioning how they are emerging/developed and also how they are being applied to consumer experience by brands.

I believe in the near future, we can see the combination of these five new technologies at everywhere in the world.  For instance, Natural language question answering & Virtual Reality can be integrated one tecnnologies which enables us to ask "Hey NIKE, what is the latest pop cordinate for Running?" then get the answer of the cordinate by showcasing on the mirror at home as if you are wearing.

IoT and Wearables, AR and Natural Language Questionning and Answearing, and other various combinations we can think of.  And this will happen in the near future I believe.

  • The Actor and the Producer of this TV series Kevin Speicy Spacey, he is really great and awesome.  In this TV series, there are sometimes a scene like he is talking to the audiences, I get all involved to that his performance.

  • Also the Film Director David Fincher is managing this TV series is one of the reason I love this TV series.  This is really like Cinema, I mean the visuals is the best among the TV series what I ever seen.

Even the English subtitle version has not came up, I started to watch the "Breaking Bad" TV series.  This is so interesting and so attracted to this TV series.

As I mentioned previously, the story is crazy so we cannot predict any about the story, yes that is true that this story starts with a scene that a man in middle age, wearing only the white brief, standing with a gun on a deserted landscape.

Also one more point, there is no good-looking guy in the story is the reason why people can enjoy the story itsself I guess.  Of course the "Pink man" is kind of good-looking guy bad he is always a trouble-making person.

I'm still in the middle of series 2, but heard that the story has already been finished.  So I really looking for how the story will be going.

When I talked with my english teacher about that, and I have been asked about the name of new baby, then I explained.  Basically our thoughts on naming are mainly two points;

  • Do not want to provide modernized name, I mean, because we are Japanese, so we would like to give them a name which we can feel Japanese Traditional thing.

  • One more thing is about Chinese Character.  We do not want to use the popular Kanji which are in common use.  So we provide them a kind of difficult Chinese Character.

Kyoka which is my dauther's name has two Chinese character, one means the flower of summer season and has strong minded inside, the other means summer because she is born on July.

As you know, most of muslim people do fasting during daytime, and then they have a break fasting at the evening time after sundown.

Generally speaking, in the most of companies in Indonesia, people leave their office earlier than usual e.g. 4pm, because of that, sometimes the work task would have been delayed.

But in my company, the meals for break fasting have been supplied to all the employees, so my colleages continue to work after taking their break fasting.  That's why our office is still busy even after evening time in Ramadan period.

AWA is characterized by having the function which all the AWA users can share their play list with other users, and also there are some influencers in AWA and many users are following these influencer's play lists.

I have read some books of Murakami Haruki.

When I had a chat with one colleague from Sigapore, he said he was reading a book of Murakami Haruki in the plaine, the book is "After Dark" which is a story of the world of underground.

The photo above is cover of a magazine which is an illustration of Murakami-san.  He is a runner, and in addition to his various materpice novels, he produces a essay about Running.  The title is "What I Talk About When I Talk About Running", his real story about running, he quit smoking and start running after he became 30 years old.

Also I have read "Norweigian Wood" and "1Q84".  Norwegian Wood is a love story and it is unique among Murakami-san`s titles. People says the description of this title is realistic, it makes us to imagine about Japan of 1960's.

I like the "1Q84" which is kind of suspense, the story was created based on the novel "1984" by Geroge Owell.  Owell wrote the novel as near future, but Murakami-san wrote this novel as a past even he refer to the novel as motif.  1Q84 is serious but sometimes fashionable and romantic.

Here is my notes for the question "What is your biggest success case study and also biggest mistake".

My biggest success was, I think, I got the new position on overseas office i.e. Jarta Office here.  I have been stating my intent to work aborad, work at overseas office for a long time.  In the meantime, I also kept learning English both in private and also on the job training.

Then I cound have handled some client which I need to communicate with colleagues in regional team and aslo convicen my client about our plan proposal.  In the result my boss and management decided to let me got to Jakarta office.  So I moved to.

On the other hand, speaking of my biggest mistake I have ever done is, I send the wrong information of my client's TVC campaign to TV station. I found that on Friday night 9pm even the campaign will be starting on next week.  I could recover this over the weekend by asking to my partner buying agency and also TV station with my sincere aplogies.  In the end, we could start the campaign as it was planned.

My learnings from this mistake are;
  • We should bave the process with Double checking or Triple checking procedure especially for media buying related task.

  • As for myself, I learned my lesson that I need to be careful especially for when I am super-busy.

Many foreigners visit to Japan every year from all over the world, I guess. Maybe there are some statistics.

I think this is because of the presence of polar opposites in one country. Everything hi-tech and cute casually coexists alongside a culture that has been around for centuries.

Japanese brands are well known for its technology and sophistication e.g. household appliance brands like Sony, Sharp, Panasonic and also Automotive brand like Toyota, Honda and Nissan.

Japanese Sake is made from grain rice. There are many kinds of Japanese sakes such as “Junmai-shu”, “Honjozou-shu”, and “Ginjou-shu.” They have different brewing processes.

There are many kinds of “Jizake” throughout Japan. "Jizake" is made from local locally grown rice grains and water from local sources. Their uniqueness varies from region to region.

“Hiya” means Japanese sake served at normal temperature.

“Atsukan” means Japanese sake warmed to around 50 celsius. Once Japanese sake becomes “Atsukan”, its aroma grows stronger.

And the Gadget I would like to have for next is the Apple Watch because I never have those kind of wearable devices. I really want to try many kinds of functions like managing health, checking emails, listening music without i-pod, and also the watch itself.

I think the importance of those kind of Gadgets is; these technolocy should be practical i.e. we can reach out to this and use the function in daily life.  The wearable device is the one I think.

I think it it difficult to answer this kind of question "What is your personality?".

Even in Japanese, I'm gonna give some serious thoughts about who am I? and what kind of personaity do I have?

I think, just as my personal thoughts, I am very down-to-earth and matter-of-fact when I think about my personality not only for Business situatoin but also for Private situation, but at the same time, or I could say I'm a kind of ordinaly or bland personality.

Also I think I am mild-tempered, in any circumstances I do not get angry so much except that my kid is saying something selfish.

Lastly I think I am kind of shy.  I'm okay with Business situation, I can talk everybody with open-minded.  But in private situation like party when many strangers are there, I become shy and I cannot talk with so many people.

I just got a question as "How do you think what makes good parents?"

It's a good question and thought-provoking question for me, and here is my answer to this question;

I think good parent is the person who can provide advices when the kids need it, and person who can be with kids when they need it, and who can give thicking-off to kids when they need it, and who can forgive the kids when they need and all of those should be well-balanced.

This is my current thoughts on who are good parents, I'm wondering I would change my opinion when the kids grow up.

It's already mid-April, and 2 weeks later, Japanese peple have the Golden week which is 4-5 days holiday in early May.

One day in the Golden week, there is a Children's day on 5/5.

There is a Japanese tradition that we are celebrating this day with putting on the Koinobori which is a flying colorful carp banners, and also we put the Samurai's helmet insdie the house.

The reason why we put these is because the helmet and armor is recognized as symbolic icon of to save the boy and human being from any kind of accident, sich and disease.  So people put it with a with in their mind.

Also there is a reason why we put the Koinobori outside the house, it's based on the old stories of China, it is said that only the strong carp who achieved to arrive the upper reaches of the biggest river can be a dragon.  So people put the Koinobori with wishing about the kids to live strong as dragon.

NBAのスーパースター、困っている19歳のシングルマザーにサプライズ

This is a great story I think.

The car which Westbrook provided to this single mother is not just a car he bought, is a car which Westbrook had received as an extra prize.

He thinks she is the one whom he should provide this car because this single mother has given everything for her children, and also she is still making every effort to be a good mother and also to make her dream happen.

Really impressive for both Russel and her.

Have you heard about "Hitsumabushi"?

We went to the Japanese restaurant "Una-cho" in Plaza Snayan which is famous for Unagi menus, and ate Unaju and Hitsumabushi there.

Hitsumabushi is kind of rice bowl dishes with Unagi which we can taste it in a several way as we like it.  There are 3 steps;

Step1: Just eat the Unagi on rice bowl as it is.

Step2: Eat the Unagi with Wasabi and Yakumi which means Nori and Negi.

Step3: Supply the hot soup called as Dashi on Unagi to make it Otyazuke.

I think it it worth to try it for everyone who has never tried it.

This is a re-writing weblog of past uploaded one.

I got a special sweets for the Valentine's day gift.

That was really deliscious and sweet scone with heart shaped.

I saw the article that the custom in Japan like the Females send some gift like chocolate or something with their love on that day is really rare, I was really suprised.

Not only in Indoenesia but also in many other Asian country and Eupropean country, it is a day which Males send gifts with their love on Valentine's day.  It's totally opposite way to Japan's one.

Also in Indonesia, some people express a dessenting view for this sort of moods which people celebrating the Valentine's day.

We should understand that there are many diffrent way of thinking and diffrent sense of values in the world.  On that basis, we should enjoy that Valentine's day.

I heard that there are so many reasons that we have to watch the "Breaking Bad".

The first reason is about it's story.  This story starts with a scene that a man in middle age, wearing only the white brief, standing with a gun on a deserted landscape.  That's so wired as a start of the story, but that is a start and I heard that everyone to get into this unpredictable story.

Second one is about characters in the story.  Especially for the "Pinkman", the only one good-looking man but trouble-making guy, causes many problems even when Walter the central character plan in great details.  But he has been growing up to be a man as the episode goes.

The last thing is about how the story end up.  Although it is a common sense that popular drama will be continuing untill that will be not popular and the boom become a things of the past, the producer team has announced it will be finished by season 5.

It's so wired that I have not watched yet while I have mentioned there are so many reasons that we cannot miss it as above.  But I have not yet in effect.

That's simply because there is no English subtitle version in Hulu.jp so far.

Long waited occaision, and still really looking forward.

I think there is an huge opportunity to grow our business in here Indonesia market.

Basically there are two reasons I think;

Primarily, the economics of this market is still increasing rapidly, GDP trend shows robust uptrend like 5.0% every year and the population distribution skews to youger generation.  Thus, this market has big opportunity.

And also for us an international advertising agency, there is a room to expand our business especially for Japanse client because there are so many Japanese big spenders in Top 100 advertisers ranking.

Today's topic is about the best place I ever been to.

I ever been to so many places such as Guam, Saipan, Spain, Croatia, Slovenia, Fiji, Cambodia, Vietnam, Turkey, China and etc...

The place where I was most impressive is Croatia, especially for the Dubrovnik where is the old city on the coast of Adriatic Sea.  This old town is called as "the Pearl of Adriatic Sea" and also famous as the city where people say a Ghibli film stage.

The orange-colored houses lined up along the sea about 2km, the Adriatic of sky blue and orange color contrast is exactly suitable for named Pearl.

What's your favorite movie?

I would like to say "Phantom of the Opera" becuase I was so impressed when I saw this movie first time and also I got same shock wave throughout my body when I saw the musicals of this title in Tokyo.

While I love the story because it is the sort of mystery and also love story of Christine and Erik, but in the same time, I like very much about it's songs.  On the latest 2004 version, the film is based on the musical, so many actors/actress had sing a song actually.
